CE Marking (AI), the conformity marking a high-risk AI system must carry to show it meets EU requirements before being placed on the EU market.
CE marking is the EU's long-standing "this product meets our rules" stamp, extended to high-risk AI by the EU AI Act (Article 48). Affixing it is a declaration that the system has been through the required conformity assessment. For AI, it signals that providers have completed the documentation, risk management, and testing the Act demands, not that any regulator has independently certified the system as safe.
